Bukovac (1290 m)

Bukovac is a beautiful wooded valley on the North-Western part of Biokovo located between Šćirovac in the North and the Ovčja pola in the South. The starting point is at Gornja Brela and the rise takes about 3 hours. It is rather pleasant and not very difficult. Even in summer the walk is pleasant because the path leads mainly through the forest. A mountain shelter was built here at approximately 1,030 m where you can spend the night, upon previous agreement with the mountaineering club "Pozjata" from Brela. Half an hour on foot away is the viewpoint Ovčja pola (1262 m), from which there is a fantastic view of Makarska and the Omiš riviera, and the central Biokovo massive.
