Any legal person or a natural person acting as a small business owner providing overnight accommodation services in an accommodation facility or aboard a nautical tourism vessel, as well as any person providing accommodation and catering services within a household or on a family farm, is obligated to register all persons to whom they provide overnight accommodation services in the eVisitor system within 24 hours of their arrival, and to deregister them within 24 hours of their departure.
The owner of a holiday home, suite or apartment is obligated to register all persons staying in that accommodation in the eVisitor system within 24 hours of their arrival and deregister them as visitors on the last day of their visit.
Persons Obligated to Register and Deregister Tourists
The following categories of persons are obligated to register and deregister tourists with the local Tourism Board:
- legal and natural persons providing overnight accommodation services in an accommodation facility
- legal and natural persons providing overnight accommodation services on a nautical tourism vessel (charter vessels and multi-day cruise ships)
- natural persons providing catering services in households and on family farms
- owners of holiday homes or apartments
- residents of a tourism-oriented municipality or town
- vessel owners or users (boaters) paying tourist tax per night
