Filipovići building complex

Older homesteads, like the currently hardly recognisable one in Filipovići in Soline on the sea might have had towers with musket loops – two in this case – both later remodelled for residential purposes. Similar examples are better preserved in Tučepi, Podgora, Igrane, Drvenik. The Filipovići homestead was the core of the settlement over the Soline bay that in time developed around it.
